Dr. Julie Juhyun Cho, DAOM, MPH, LAc is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the states of New York and New Jersey. For seven years, Dr. Cho maintained her own private practice in the Flatiron District before joining Apex Acupuncture & Chiropractic in the Financial District. Dr. Cho interacts with clients on a daily basis, who require focused pain management treatments, while also providing comprehensive internal health, mental health, cancer care, pediatric acupuncture, women’s health, and fertility support treatments, as well. Dr. Cho ensures that her touch of compassion, elegance, and professionalism are widely captured in her patient care.
Dr. Cho is also a teaching faculty member at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (NY campus), as well as a clinic supervisor at the PCOM-NY’s Student Clinic.
Dr. Cho received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Public & Community Health from Stony Brook University. In addition, Dr. Cho holds a Master’s in Public Health, with a concentration in Healthcare Policy & Management from Stony Brook University School of Public Health Medicine.
More prominently, Dr. Cho is a graduate from the Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she completed her program in 2012. In May 2016, Dr. Cho formally earned the title of Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from PCOM-San Diego.
Prior to attending acupuncture school and obtaining her professional credentials, Dr. Cho worked for the American Cancer Society for seven years; managing cancer control programs, advocacy, and serving cancer patients and families in New York State. Alongside her accolades, Dr. Cho also holds various certifications, including her NCCAOM (Dipl.OM), Fundamentals of Oncology Acupuncture Certificate from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Juheng Acupuncture Technique and Oriental Medicine certification and training from Kyung Hee University’s International Education Institute of Korean Medicine from Seoul, Korea.
